Staff

Senior Manager -
The senior manager oversees all financial and administrative operations of the centre, reporting to the co-directors. Kathleen also acts as a project manager for many of our multi-mode projects. She has developed our web capacity and works with UW Information Systems and Technology to offer data collection by web to the University community. She has been associated with the SRC for many years, sitting on the board as a graduate student member, and consulting on a variety of surveys. Kathleen has a Master's in Sociology from the University of Waterloo.

Project Manager -
Sharon McConnell joined the Survey Research Centre in 2009, as Project Manager. Sharon brings with her 12 years of survey research experience in both private and public sectors, across a variety of industries, such as hospitality, insurance and financial products and services, retail, and public health care. Sharon holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Guelph.

Call Centre Supervisor -
Lindsey Webster joined the SRC in September, 2006 as the Call Centre Supervisor. Lindsey oversees all aspects of call centre operations, including fieldwork conduct, sample management, and interviewer supervision. Lindsey's primary responsibility is to hold SRC telephone fieldwork to the highest standard of research with tight sample control, adherence to protocols, and interviewer support.

Project Support and Administration -
Megan started at the SRC as a telephone interviewer, was promoted to assistant supervisor, and has since become a full-time staff member. Megan oversees mail-out surveys and incentives. She is also responsible for supporting the managers with project tasks and performs administrative duties for the centre, including production of our annual newsletter.


From time to time, the SRC hires graduate students in Sociology and Statistics and Actuarial Science to assist in special projects and data analysis. We also employ over 25 undergraduate students as telephone interviewers in the call centre. We are always looking for responsible, articulate, bilingual students interested in primary research.
